Design Tips for High-Converting QR Posters
Published 8/15/2025
Make the call-to-action obvious
Use a short, specific verb: "Scan to get 10% off" or "Scan for tonight's menu." Avoid vague "Learn more."
Size and distance
As a rule of thumb, the code's width should be roughly 1/10th of the viewing distance. Test from where people will stand.
Contrast and quiet zone
High contrast between code and background, with a clear margin around it. Avoid busy textures behind the code.
Place for convenience
Eye level for posters. Tabletop for menus. Near points of decision. Reduce friction.
Post-scan experience
The page should load fast, look intentional, and deliver on the promise immediately. Align copy between poster and landing.
Small tweaks compound. Test, learn, and update—without reprints.
